Looked so good took a bite before taking a pic. It's delicious... Smoked chicken, andouille, crawfish, okra, peppers, onions, tomatoes, Louisiana roux. Rice on top and hot sauce on the side if course.

Background Story

I don't remember where she went to eat that night.  Nala loved spicy food, and cajun definitely has some spice in it, if done right.  However, this had okra in it, and she loved okra a lot too.  So this spicy stew was something that she loved to order, and she made her own version of it for me once, about a month before she passed.  It was literally the best gumbo I had ever had in my life.  It was all I could do to keep from eating it all the first night.  I think we managed to keep it around for 2-3 days.  

She was eating out because we were having a long distance date that day.  Due to the time difference, it was an early lunch for me and late lunch for her.  We ate together, then watched The Bourne Supremacy together (across the country from each other).  Afterward, we chatted about our day, what we ate, and what we thought of the movie.  This might have been our first long distance date.
