Sabrina's Instagram Account

Anyone who actually knew Sabrina, even a little bit, would know and tell you about how private she was.  She didn't want anyone knowing her business.  This was never more true as it was on the internet.  Despite her inner-nature, she created an Instagram account specifically to allow her and I to communicate through photos.  This was mostly because the first year or so of our relationship was long distance.  These are the photos that you couldn't see, because her account was private.  I wasn't even allowed to comment on or like them.

TIP:  Start at the very end, and then work your way back from there if you want to read through our story in chronological order.

Background Story

We didn't just Skype date nearly every night.  Since we couldn't be together on the same couch or in the same bed, Skype became our window into being with each other every night.  We'd fall asleep and wake up together, with Skype still on.  Then watch each other get ready.  I relished every second of this and I'm so happy now that we did it.

Whoever would fall asleep first would get the honor of watching the other sleep.  I would generally be the recipient of this honor.  As soon as Nala got horizontal, she'd easily fall asleep in no time.

What you're looking at though is her old laptop.  It has some driver issues or something.  It's incredibly loud.  The internal fan turned on all of the time and would stay on forever, and it would get very hot.  So hot, that sometimes during the night, the laptop would crash from getting too hot.

After the second or third time of the laptop shutting down, I sent her this laptop lap desk.  It was another surprise that just showed up in the mail one day. She'd keep the laptop on this throughout the evening.  It would make it easier to position the laptop for Skype, and the laptop wouldn't crash from heat during the night anymore.

By the way, that's one of her photos from when we went to Napa Valley.  She loved that place.  It was our favorite place to be.
